About Linda DeVillier
Linda DeVillier has been drawing and painting horses since she was old enough to hold a pencil. Her life-long equine fascination turned to passion during her childhood in San Bernardino County, California, when she discovered a rental stable along the wash in Muscoy and became a wrangler just to be around horses.
Though primarily self-taught in her craft, a two-year taxidermy apprenticeship furthered her understanding of animal anatomy. Specializing in portraits of horses, dogs and cats, Devillier has an uncanny knack for capturing the essence of the individual animal, preserving with watercolors and oils that one thing that makes it unique. Her attention to detail results in portraits so realistic that one almost expects them to whinny, bark or purr!
In addition to the homes of her many satisfied clients, DeVillier's works have graced the walls of galleries in Sedona, Jerome and Scottsdale, Arizona as well as in Lake Arrowhead, California.
